今回は、熱帯野菜のヒカマ（ヤムビーン）、キャッサバとパッションフルーツの植え付けと生育の様子を報告します。自家採取、苗木を取って、無加温の小型ハウスで、一週間に一回の開放管理で育苗する省力栽培に挑戦しています。日本での栽培方法がよくわかっていない、熱帯野菜の苗や種での栽培方法の確立がテーマです。
In this issue, we report on the planting and growth of tropical vegetables jicama (yam bean), cassava, and passion fruit. We are trying labor-saving cultivation by taking home-grown, seedling trees and raising seedlings in a small, non-heated greenhouse with open management once a week. Our theme is establishing a cultivation method for tropical vegetables with seedlings and seeds, which is poorly understood in Japan.
